This is our house in the 1990's. It was decorated with my steel furniture, steel sculptures, and canvases.

The large canvas in the middle is one of the many pieces that Jimmy Gordon and I painted together.

Much of the sculpture and canvas is about the Orlando Magic and some other NBA players..

The sculptures closest are of Shaq hanging from the rim and the other is him looking at himself in a tv screen painted by Jimmy Gordon.

This is a portrait painting of Jimmy Gordon that I started and he finished. One of the more interesting "self portraits" you'll see.

Jimmy Gordon and I did a number of sculptures and canvases together and signed them, "Gordon and the Wildmman". We also collaberated on art cars and bicycles. He was a great artist, great friend and mentor for many years.

I saw some of of Jimmy's paintings in 1993 in a gallery in Sarasota. I was so taken with his work that I told the gallery owners that I wanted to meet him. They told me he was a Nam vet recluse and he probably would not speak to me, but he may look out his window to see your art truck if go to his house.

So I drove over to his house and knocked on his door. I saw the curtain crack open and a pair of dark sunglasses peep out and look at my truck, then at me. The curtain closed and a few moments later the door opened. We spoke for a few minutes about my truck and then his Bat Mobile parked in his carport. Then he ask if I wanted a cup of coffee. I said sure.

We sat in his house smoking Camels, drinking coffee, and talking about everything from art to life for the next five hours. It was like we had known each other for years. That started a friendship of more than 20 years.

We could collaberate on art because we had no ego or input as to what the other person did. One of us would start a canvas and give to the other to finish. We were both more fascinated with what the other person would create in response to what they saw. If you are an artist, try creating with another artist like this. It's a very cool thing.

Jimmy was one of those rare people who could accept people for who they were without judgement. Loved ya my friend.
