Here are some photos taken at the Cruizin on Dearborn Street in Englewood Florida. These rodders get together the first Saturday of every month in the afternoon and stay until about 8pm. It is a free event so if you are in town, come down and take a look at the cars.
I don't know the name of this one, but it's a clean build. A nice little red hot rod with straight drop axle front end.
Front shot front wheelchair height.
A motor shot. A clean looking small block...appears to be a street build not an over the top blown monster hp.
We'll call this one the Flaming Monkey. It's a another nice little street rod.
Notice the header shorties coming out behind the front wheel...probably a bit loud when ya get on it.
A sporty mid 60's VW beetle with a cammo paint job and roof racks.
Gotta love the glass headlight covers.
Early 70's Coronet or Road Runner. My dad's secretary had a 1970 Road Runner. I was in his office when the Sheriffs Dept called to let him know she had been arrested for speeding on her way to the court house for him. She was doing 103mph in a 55 zone. I was in love with her!
This one sounded pretty good when he rounded the corner of Dearborn and Elm Street. Heard the rumble and turned around to catch a quick pic.
You can see red is a popular color among the Englewood hot rodders. Another clean little roadster.
I really like the low stance and on this build. It looks like muscle and looks like it wants to run.
Looks great from the front. The lines just work.
This is the first beast I've seen with bra. Makes for an interesting texture change on the front end. I have to wonder if he does a lot of highway driving with this rod. I always liked these ole tanks cause they look like a rollin battering ram..tough look.
